Symboloud provides a clear starting point without locking the user into a fixed grid. Vocabulary, folders and tiles can be edited as communication develops, making it possible to begin simply and expand over time.

Symboloud includes ready-made core and everyday vocabulary organised into clear folders and tiles. Spoken words support sentence building, quick requests, choices, feelings and more detailed original messages.
Make vocabulary meaningful
Choose from more than 72,000 SymbolStix symbols, add photographs from the device or take a new photo with the camera. Personal people, places, activities and interests can sit alongside high-frequency core words.
Keep important words easy to find
The starter grid uses familiar Fitzgerald Key colour coding to group different types of words. Consistent positions and clear categories can make vocabulary easier to recognise and support learning over time.
Use a voice that suits the user
Symboloud works with the voices available on the Android device, including additional compatible voices installed from Google Play. This gives users and supporters a choice of age, accent, language and speaking style where those voices are available.
Adapt and share
Create, edit, move and organise folders and tiles directly in Symboloud. Import and export .symboloud files to back up a grid, move it between devices or share resources with families, schools and professionals.
